Queen Belloma

Easily my favourite villain in the story, Queen Belloma is the stepmother from the original story, The Six Swans. I have a kind of pity for her. Her own mother killed her. She never outwardly displayed, nor did she admit to, any affection for her young son, Lon, yet, when in need of a child to sacrifice, she chose to turn the boy into a kitten, and use his father (whom she turned into a child) instead. There was no benefit to keeping him alive and we may never know why she did. One must ask if it's possible that she had a kind of love for her son but did know what to do with it having never received any from her own mother, the evil Brona who set her up, tricked her, and eventually slaughtered Belloma in the pursuit of her own vanity.
